Creatures ...

Today we had some interesting things brought in for sharing time ...

Millie found an exoskeleton of a dragonfly ...

Megan found a dead cicada ...

Isobelle brought in her very special sea star which she was given as Christmas time.  At some point this was a living sea star, but it is not now.  If you look carefully at the picture though, you can see the grooves in it's underside which is where all the little tube feet are, which help the sea star to breathe, smell and walk (when it is alive)...

  1. Yay - great to see that sea stars are still topical (and that you guys remembered so much!) :)
    Cheers,
    Eugene
PS Millicent and I saw some giant wetas and spiders in our garden on the weekend :)

  2. Hi Eugene,

Thank you for all the interesting information you gave the kids about sea stars (previously call star fish in our house). Izzy continues to tell me and the rest of our family about their amazing abilities. =)
