Keeping Ourselves Safe [KOS] is a comprehensive child protection programme in which students learn and apply a range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others.
We have been learning about Keeping Ourselves Safe in weeks 1 and 2. It is important that children know how to keep themselves safe in a variety of situations and are aware of how to say, ‘No’. All classes have had a visit from Constable ‘Blue’ to reinforce the teaching of Keeping Ourselves Safe.
These are the new songs we have learnt as part of the Keeping Ourselves Programme.
Stop Walk Talk
We know if someone touches us in a way we do not like to remember 'Stop, Walk, Talk!'
We know to talk to a trusted adult. Today we brainstormed who these might be - our list included relatives, friends, teachers, doctors, Police, neighbours, sports coaches, someone at church... as long as it is an adult whom we trust. Stop, Walk, Talk!
